Sinópsis
En la madrugada del 16 de marzo de 1916, Pancho Villa invadió el pueblo de Columbus, perpetuando así la primera invasión del territorio estadounidense realizada por un ejército latinoamericano.
Ese mismo día, nacía en Durango un niño bautizado con el nombre de Ernesto Villa Ramírez, orgullosamente hijo del General Francisco Villa.
A la muerte del Caudillo, su madre lo llevó a vivir a Estados Unidos y le dijo: “Nunca reveles quien es tu padre, porque nos matan.” Ochenta y tres años después, el viejo Ernesto regresa a la tierra del General para descubrir que su padre es hoy uno de los guías morales de los campesinos de México y un héroe nacional.
La historia de Pancho Villa contada por aquellos que lo conocieron.

Desde que inició la investigación hasta que se obtuvo el corte final pasaron cuatro años.
El Coronel Alejandro Rodríguez Medina, murió una semana después de la entrevista. Francesco Taboada Tabone menciona: “Cuando llegué por primera vez al asilo Bocado del Pobre en la ciudad de Chihuahua, me dijeron sus compañeros que no hablaba, que no veía y que no oía, después de varias visitas logramos no sólo que nos contestara nuestras preguntas sino que hasta cantara el corrido original de Carabina 30-30. A la semana me aviso la religiosa que tiene a su cargo el asilo que el último coronel de la Revolución había muerto. Creo que don Alejandro estaba esperando compartir sus vivencias antes de abandonarnos. Cuando murió tenía 105 años”.

SYNOPSIS
In the early hours of March, 16, 1916, the troops of Pancho Villa invaded the continental territory of the United States. They attacked the village of Columbus.
At the same time a baby was born in Nazas, Durango.He was the son of General Pancho Villa.
When his father was murdered by the government in 1923, his mother took him to California and told him: "Never tell anybody who your father was, because your life and mine are in danger."
Eighty three years later, Ernesto Villa Ramírez came to his father’s land and discovered that General Villa is one of the most respected heroes in his country and a moral guide for millions of peasants throughout Mexico. The story of Pancho Villa told by those who knew him.

Since we started with the research until we finished the final cut, four years passed.
Colonel Alejandro Rodríguez Medina died a week after we interview him. Francesco says: When I first arrived to the asile Bocado del Pobre in the city of Chihuahua, Colonel mates told me that he didn’t speak, that he was mute and deft. After many visits we could make him respond to our questions and finally he sang an original version of the famous corrido “Carabina 30-30”. After a week, the sister who was in charged of the asile told me by phone that the Colonel had passed away. I believe that Colonel Alejandro was waiting for an opportunity to share his life before leaving this world. When he died he was 105 years old.
